Model of Care

How do we care for you during your pregnancy?

Our collaborative model at Geelong Maternity Group means that all of our patients are cared for during their pregnancy by all five of our Obstetricians. Our patients have the advantage of our combined experience of more than 70 years of clinical practice and our patients always have their care exclusively provided by an Obstetrician known to them, regardless of the day or time.

During any 24-hour period, one of our Obstetricians provides care for our patients exclusively, with no other commitments. Our innovative practice model means that our Obstetricians are well rested and working at their best.

Comprehensive Pregnancy Care

Our team look after you from pre-conception through to birth and beyond

We bring a diverse range of experience and special areas of interest, but our philosophies and clinical practices are the same. We provide a comprehensive pregnancy care service from pre-conception through to birth and beyond.

These services include all aspects of:

  • Pre-conception counselling
  • Investigation of subfertility and infertility
  • Antenatal care and monitoring
  • Care during labour and birth
  • Postnatal Care
  • Contraceptive counselling
